Thursday Night 3.0+ House League

We’re running a team-based, mixed-doubles house league this summer. The format is simple: 8 teams, weekly doubles matches, rotating lineups, and a short playoff at the end of the season.

When It Runs

Season Opens: Thursday, May 21, 2026
Last Regular Season Night: Thursday, August 20, 2026
Playoffs Begin: ~Late August
Championship Night: ~Mid September

Playoffs and Championship dates will be confirmed as we get closer.

League Night: Thursdays, 7:00–10:00 PM
Rain Dates: Extra Thursdays are built into the schedule

How Match Nights Work

Each Thursday night has two playing blocks:

7:00–8:30 PM — 4 Teams - 6 Doubles Match
8:30–10:00 PM — 4 Teams - 6 Doubles Match

We use 6 courts each night. Teams will alternate between early and late blocks throughout the season to keep things fair.

Teams & Lineups

There will be 8 teams, labelled A–H.

Each team has:

Up to 10 players on the roster
6 players active each match night
4 players rotating as reserves/subs each week

Captains will choose weekly lineups and make sure players rotate in fairly over the season.

Regular Season Format

The regular season is a 7-round round robin.

Each team plays every other team once.

Weeks 1–7: May 21 – July 2
Extra weeks are available afterward for rain dates or schedule adjustments.

How Scoring Works

Each team match includes 3 doubles matches.

Each doubles match is played as a pro set to 8.

Each doubles court won = 1 point

So a team match can finish:

3–0, 2–1, 1–2, or 0–3

For the league standings:

Team match win = 3 league points
Team match loss = 0 league points

Playoff Format

After the regular season, teams are seeded 1–8 based on standings. Dates subject to change.

August 27 — Quarterfinals
1 vs 8 · 4 vs 5 · 3 vs 6 · 2 vs 7

September 3 — Semifinals

September 10 — Championship Night
Championship match + 3rd place match

Good to Know

  • Lineups should be submitted before match day.

  • Subs rotate throughout the season.

  • Standings will be updated online in a sheet after each round.
