Applewood has a Tennis Canada Certified professional coach who is available for private and semi-private lessons. Whether you are new to the sport and just learning, or a more experienced player looking to take your game to the next level, our coach can get you there!

Herbert Duff is a certified tennis pro with multiple years of experience coaching a range of athletes from junior to adults, and collegiate tennis players. He was hired as York University’s Assistant Coach and was then promoted to Head Coach in September 2021. Herbert had played competitive tennis since the age of 11 years old. He was named the MVP tennis player in high for St. Francis Xavier SS and competed during the following years between 2012-2015.

In addition, Herbert had completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Fitness and Health promotions from the University of Guelph-Humber.

Herbert has a passion for bridging tennis and exercise science in order to create the best possible programs for his athletes. Herbert is a notable trainer that handles player development, including technical/tactical training, strength & conditioning, recovery modalities, and sports psychology that revolves around tennis.
