Applewood Davis Cup Club Event

Date: Saturday, June 28, 2025 Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Location: Applewood Tennis Club – Courts 1 to 6 Awards & BBQ Social: BBQ & Social from 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM

Participants

Open to all adult members, categorized by level:

  • 3.5+ (intermediate/advanced)

  • 2.0+ (beginner/intermediate)

Format: Davis Cup Style Team Competition

Teams

  • 8 National Teams of 8 Players

  • Balanced by skill level (2.0–3.0, 3.5+)

  • Uniform colours will be assigned to each team

  • Team Canada, Team France, Team Australia, Team U.S.A., Team Italy, Team Serbia, Team Germany and Team Spain

Match Types

  • 2 Men’s Singles

  • 2 Women’s Singles

  • 1 Men’s Doubles

  • 1 Women’s Doubles

  • 1 Mixed Doubles

Scoring Format

  • 8-Game Pro Sets

  • No-Ad Scoring

  • Each match win = 1 point

  • Team with most points wins the Davis Cup

Registration & Fees

Registration Deadline: June 24, 2025 by 11:59 PM (Registration officially closes June 25 at 12:00 AM)

Where to Register: Under the Club Sign-Up Calendar on the members portal

Player Fee:

  • $10 (includes participation in matches)

  • +$5 to join the 6PM BBQ & Social

Social-Only Fee:

  • $5 for non-players who wish to attend the BBQ/SOCIAL

  • Limited to 90 participants

Important: All players must:

  • Submit their NTRP rating level

  • Be available for the full day of play
